Norske
Sjømatbedrifters Landsforening (NSL) arranged the first ever Norwegian
Championship in fish trades at the food festival in Ålesund, in
co-operation with,
Norges Råfisklag, Norges
Sildesalgslag, Sunnmøre og Romsdals Fiskesalslag og Fiskerinæringens
Kompetansesenter.
The Trade organization has, in co-operation with the grocery shops
decided who the six candidates who daily has his/her place of work
at different fish stores should be in the competition.
The candidates must have craft certificate in fish trading or
equivalent: this means - at least 5 years experience within the
fish trading marked to be allowed to compete.
Six candidates
with wide experience from different fish stores competed in
knowledge, fillet and presentation of seafood.
Three judges were to decide who, amongst these good candidates,
deserved to be the Norwegian Champion in fish trades 2002. The
winner was Tor Skancke from Oslo.
